About us

An inland container depot, and only that.

Continental Container Terminal (CCTL) is a fully licensed, URA-bonded ICD (Customs Bonded Warehouse No. W0556) located in Kirinya-Namanve Industrial Park. Simply put, we are the bridge connecting coastal seaports and regional corridors directly to your final delivery point. The moment your cargo crosses our gate, every service needed to inspect, clear, store and release it is already here on site. You never have to send your team running around.

Who we are

CCTL is registered in Uganda under the Companies Act 2012 and certified by URSB. Our depot at Kirinya-Namanve Industrial Park is licensed by the Uganda Revenue Authority as a bonded facility, so containers can move inland from Mombasa or Dar es Salaam under customs control and wait with us, safely, until they are cleared.

We are deliberately focused. We don't act as a clearing agent. We run the depot: the gate, the yard, the equipment and the people who handle your container from the moment it arrives to the moment it leaves.

That focus lets us work openly alongside everyone else in the chain — shipping lines, URA and other agencies, clearing agents and hauliers — without competing with any of them.

Our mission

To streamline global trade for inland markets by providing secure, tech-driven container handling, customs clearance, and intermodal solutions that eliminate supply chain bottlenecks.

Our vision

To be the most technologically advanced and efficient dry port gateway in the region, setting the benchmark for frictionless inland cargo transit.

Core values

What we stand for.

01

Velocity

What it means
We treat time as our most valuable commodity. We actively identify and eliminate bottlenecks in our gates, yards, and documentation processes to keep cargo moving.
In daily practice
Prioritizing fast container turnaround times (TAT), reducing truck dwell times, and ensuring customs documentation is processed without delay.
02

Digital Precision

What it means
We rely on accurate, real-time data to make decisions. Transparency, system integration, and zero-error tracking are the bedrock of our logistics network.
In daily practice
Keeping our terminal operating system (TOS) 100% accurate, providing clients with flawless live tracking, and trusting data over guesswork.
03

Forward-Thinking Innovation

What it means
We don’t just adapt to the future; we build it. We constantly seek out and adopt smarter automation, smarter routing, and better tech to stay ahead of supply chain demands.
In daily practice
Regularly upgrading yard equipment, exploring AI-driven container stacking optimization, and encouraging staff to suggest workflow automations.
04

Uncompromising Security

What it means
Speed is nothing without safety. We leverage advanced surveillance, smart access control, and strict protocols to protect our people, our data, and our clients’ cargo.
In daily practice
Zero tolerance for safety shortcuts in the yard, robust cybersecurity for custom databases, and maintaining highly secure automated gate systems (AGS).
05

Seamless Synergy

What it means
An ICD is a bridge between seaports, rail, road, and customs. We act as a friction-free link, ensuring our tech and communication integrate perfectly with our partners.
In daily practice
Building open API connections for shipping lines, collaborating smoothly with government customs officials, and operating as a true extension of the seaport.
